Today I showed off the site to a few people. I am always nervous to do sneak previews because I have to preface so many things with “This isn’t working yet but it will”. π This is a pretty easy site though so it’s more fun than anything. In other news, our swag has started to arrive. Next – Log-ins are working (again)
Well, it’s official. We can’t move the site over without some help. I’ve opened a few tickets to get us moved to the new domain. I think this can be done. Next – Sneak Preview
The forums went live today. This will be a space for us to hopefully eventually move our long-term discussions. It should be easier to track than some of the longer listserv conversations we’ve had. Today the development site went live. None of the graphics are working and I had to install it on my personal server because our hosted SUNY.edu server doesn’t yet support the framework I am using for the site. This is going to be a long road. Next – Forums are Live
I created this category to document the process of building our new website. It’s a bit self serving, but I had a lot of fun throughout this process and I wanted to write it all down. I didn’t include every tear shed, but it does give you an idea of what we planned and how it shaped up. π (more…)
