You’ll notice you need to login the site before you can see the forums link or access the page. Once you log in, look up at the top of the page: You’ll see “Forums” is now in the main site menu. Even if I direct link you to the forums page, unless you are logged in, you won’t be able to access it.
Well, it’s official. We can’t move the site over without some help. I’ve opened a few tickets to get us moved to the new domain. I think this can be done. Next – Sneak Preview
The forums went live today. This will be a space for us to hopefully eventually move our long-term discussions. It should be easier to track than some of the longer listserv conversations we’ve had. It’s not fenced yet but I hope to eventually be able to lock them down so you’ll need a password to access them. https://www.edtoa.suny.edu/forum/edtoa-discussion-forum/ Next – Started Research
Today the development site went live. None of the graphics are working and I had to install it on my personal server because our hosted SUNY.edu server doesn’t yet support the framework I am using for the site. This is going to be a long road. Next – Forums are Live
I created this category to document the process of building our new website. It’s a bit self serving, but I had a lot of fun throughout this process and I wanted to write it all down. I didn’t include every tear shed, but it does give you an idea of what we planned and how it shaped up. 🙂 (more…)
